An alarming number of Boxers die of cancer or heart disease in middle age. It's also partly due to the deformities in their structure, especially their shortened face. This is partly due to unwise breeding practices such as inbreeding and linebreeding, which are more likely to pass along defective genes. Most Boxers, unfortunately, do not live a long life.
